Mackenzie & Moncur LTD was established in 1869 by Alexander Donald Mackenzie and  George Greig Moncur. and over the next 30 years they became the front-runners in constructing hothouses(conservatories), heating and cooling systems and more.

    The company had many large clients from churches and schools to members of the royal family. The company covered a large area for the time with branches in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London, some of the work made it to Ireland and overseas too.

   Although the company was known for the fantastic ranges of hothouses and other home improvement services, they also helped to serve the united kingdom during world war 2 by helping to create and install ventilation for ships and ammunition boxes along with other services.

   Today, Mackenzie & Moncur continues to trade with modern home improvements such as driveways, windows, doors and modern conservatories for the average home.
